SmartProduct and QUHOMAtrace in the list with GS1 international best practices!

Continuing to work with GS1, Future Intelligence managed to compose a study
which was included in the good practices of the global GS1 organization and gains relevant relevant publicity. The case study includes the combination of cultivation and Internet of Things (IoT) data with GS1 standards and how they could be operationalized and shared with the rest of the agrifood stakeholders. The specific modeling of traceability and Internet of Things IoT data is an innovative application of open standards that has a high chance of commercial success in an extremely complex sequence of processes such as those encountered in the agrifood supply chain.

Smart Product and the use of FIWARE were presented at the EIP-AGRI Workshop on “Farm Data for Better Farm Performance”

Future Intelligence presented the use of FIWARE and GS1 standards to deliver farm’s upstream traceability to the stakeholders of the agrifood value chain. Orion Context Broker data coming from the field coupled with field’s notebook practices integrate transportation data coming from FORTH’s Institute of Computer Science to deliver traceability to consumers. AgroExpo2021

The project coordinator attended one of the most important exhibitions in the agri-food sector and the most important in the region, AgroExpo 2021. It takes place every two years in Ierapetra, Crete, the country’s champion in vegetable exports and the geographical area where the higher concentration of greenhouses accounting for about 40% of the total number of the country. It confirmed the significant interest of producers for traceability applications that are expected to become mandatory in the context of international trade and the standards that govern them.

SmartProduct at the Cypriot Agronomists Association

In April 2021, the Cypriot Agronomists Council of Agriculture organized an event for the application of state-of-the-art technologies as smart agricultural practices of the Modern Farm, within the framework of their training seminars. There, in addition to other Smart Agriculture applications and projects, SmartProduct was presented at a train the trainers event attended by over 120 people related to the agri-food sector.
